We arrived at Monica & James' home really late Saturday night. For the next two days (Sunday, May 25 thru Tuesday morning, May 27), we had fun while Monica & James showed us everything they could about their new home in Champaign, Illinois. In her blog, Monica said that she wanted to show off "my house, my yard, my dog, my street, my swing set, my new bathroom floor, and my friends. I also get to show off my Laney and Eliza."
So here is their new home. It's a three-bedroom home in a cute neighborhood. It's about 10 minutes from school and church. The first thing you notice in the mid-west is it's so green.
The back yard was fenced in and a fun place for the kids to play in. Everyone was really happy to be out of the car.
Zero is the newest member of the family and I think he had as much fun with the kids as they did with him.
Eliza and Laney got a new swing set for their birthdays......
And Monica got a new swing set for Mother's Day!
I realized that I didn't get that many pictures of inside the house - which was painted and decorated really cute, because we spent a lot of time outside with the kids. After driving for two days, they liked to be outside and moving as much as possible. Here's a couple from inside.
Roger tried out James' new scooter -- with today's gas prices, James will need to buy a sidecar for Monica and the kids!
We went to a fun park that is just a short walk from their home and everyone had a lot of fun on the swings and slides and just running around in the open spaces.
We enjoyed going to church with Monica & James on Sunday. It's always nice to visit other wards in the church. No matter where we visit, we always feel welcome and at home in the Gospel. We were able to go to a ward activity on Monday -- lots of good food and games for the kids.
James took us on a tour of the campus of the University of Illinois where he goes to law school.
After a couple of days in Illinois, it was time to load up the kids again and travel on the "Yellow Brick Road" to find our way home. And just like Dorothy in the Land of Oz, we brought some traveling companions. Monica and James and the girls came with us as we headed west across Illinois.

I am glad you put up so many pictures. That way I can just put a link to you from my blog and don't have to do as much. It was so fun having you here, by the way. We miss you.
